LB Latino Civic Association is a community-based non-profit dedicated to providing meaningful opportunities for Latinx immigrants and their families. We believe that everyone should have access to a bright future, regardless of background or circumstance.

Our team works tirelessly to help our community reach its full potential through education, advocacy, and community-building. SOFA

After seeing increasing health issues during the past few years we were inspired to combat this issue from the root. Thus inspiring SOFA (Suburban Organic Farming in Action) program. Through research, we found that organic food was too expensive. We discovered that growing our own food would be cheaper, easier, and healthier. We would teach them how to farm to lead them to healthier lives so they can " Dare to Soar ". We're set to launch the program in the Spring of 2023!

Parent Café of Dreams

Community Parent Cafés interactive exercise and dialogue for Hispanic mothers and fathers will develop a plan for the educational and civic success of their children. Parent Cafés will also prepare Long Beach community members to apply for city run committees and commissions as a first step to becoming an integral part of the city.

Get out the Vote” (Voter Registration)

We encourage the community to actively participate in the recovery and advancement of our "City by the Sea". By participating in Voter's Registration/"Get out the Vote" campaign, public outreach programs, town meetings and hiring local interns to help run and support our causes and events. We hope to extend the importance of being a well rounded citizen to our strong community

NYIC Engagement

We work closely with the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC). We were invited to their 2023 Member Congress in January and recently went to their Access to Representation Lobbying event in March. To learn more about them visit their website! https://www.nyic.org/

Back to School Program (NCJW)

In the beggining of every school year LB Latino Civic Association registers students for back to school supplies, clothing and more with the NCJW.
