President & Founder

Orlando Ariza
Co-Founder and President of LBLCA, Orlando Ariza holds many distinguished titles. Some of which include the Director of Engineering Maintenance at the Barry and Florence Friedberg JCC and Vice Chairman at the Housing Authority. He has raised two outstanding daughters, one of whom has taken his path in the non-profit community here at LBLCA.

Nicole Fader
As the organization’s Vice President, Nicole is devoted to making change in her community. Apart from her work at LBLCA, she is renowned for her work in massage therapy. After completing her education at The New York College Of Health Professions making her a certified LMR, she founded her practice, Beyond Zen, in 2005. Since then, she has become a known face in Long Beach, NY and now runs the Barefoot Bocce League during the summer. She is also a mother to her wonderful son, Nico.
Founder & Tresurer

Martha Otero
Co-Founder and Treasurer of LBLCA, Martha was born in Puerto Rico. She has held a prominent role in her community over the years, volunteering her time at St. John’s Lutheran Church By The Sea.
Trustee

Cynthia Borque
Cynthia is a hardworking Nursing Manager at Mount Sinai Hospital. She worked tirelessly and exceptionally during the pandemic resulting in her being awarded the 2020 Q2 Daisy Award that honors work done by nurses. Continuing her excellence in giving back, Cynthia was appointed Secretary on the LBLCA Board of Trustees earlier in 2023. She is also a mom to two beautiful daughters.

Claudia Lovas
Claudia has been a dedicated Managing Attorney for over 20 years. She achieved her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Stony Brook University and her Juris Doctorate Degree from Touro College. She went on to start at Guided One Insurance before she obtained her position as Regional Managing Attorney at American Family Insurance. Outside of her work in the field, Lovas is a proud family woman as well. Alongside her husband, Robert, they share two incredible children. As a Trustee on the LBLCA board, she works to do her part in the Latino community.
